DIVERSIFIED ENERGY is Hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst Near Birmingham, AL
POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager, this role will guide the business through the development of requirements, research the data underpinnings to further refine those requirements, and create solutions for those requirements.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Listen closely to client. Discern goals, objectives, and opportunities and create a path to a solution.
- Work independently
- Balance multiple requests through phases of discovery and delivery
- Advise the client regarding best practices for robust and resilient data usage design patterns.
- Provide value through self-directed research to understand business processes and data interactions related to the requirements.
- Manage ETL requests to load data in Snowflake repository.
- Create models to expose data for the highest and most efficient benefit.
- Create Power BI Visual presentations for the business.
- Serve as first line of quality assurance to aggressively validate developed data flows and reports.
- Meet deadlines, problem solve and set clear expectations with clients.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience independently balancing and prioritizing multiple tasks through the delivery life cycle.
- Experience understanding data models and data relationships.
- Ability to work with business end users to bridge communication between the business and development team.
- Database experience (minimum 2 years’ experience in database technology)
- Data warehouse design / usage experience.
- MS Power BI Development (minimum 2 years’ experience in this tool / DAX, or similar).
- Data ETL migration experience (Talend, SSIS, Informatica, Talend or similar).
- Master Data Management experience.
- Quality Assurance experience with attention to detail and test evidence documentation.
- Excellent documentation, organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with cloud-based environment.
- Experience in Oil and Gas industry (especially natural gas production).
- Experience with these application systems is a plus:
- Enertia (highest priority)
- Flow-Cal
- Cygnet
- ARIES
- FIS Align
- Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) / Hyperion PBCS (Planning Budgeting Cloud Service)
- Experience with ML / AI is a plus.
- Experience with Power Automate, or similar low-code data / process management tool is a plus.
- Experience with Power Shell scripting is a plus.
